HUTT HIGH SCHOOL
The monthly meeting of the Hutt Valley High School Board of Governors was held onThursday.
The principal, Mr. J. N. Millard, reported concerning arrangements for his Majesty's Silver Jubilee. Mr. W. Nash, M.P., would address the pupils, and on Thursday at 9 a.m. there would be a picture entertainment, and on Sunday, May 12, the school would be officially represented at a public religious service in the Recreation Ground. |
The principal was authorised to spend up to £10 pn niaps. : An offer by the Badminton club to rent the gymnasium was not entertained, the board being of the opinion that it could not allow the~ buildings to be used by outside bodies.
. The principal reported the completion of tar-sealing paid for by the Parents' Association, and stated that the association had already donated £55 for this purpose, £2 2s to the library, and £9 for timber to partially line the gymnasium. :
