The annual repqrt was read and the executive were congratulated on their nn-tu-iuß-efforts in bringing the year to Such a successful conclusion. Sports gear had been purchased to enable the pupils to take part in school competitions; ,and provision was made to. enlarge the school library. A sum had also been ■ set. aside to provide prizes annually for the -most improved pupils of each standard. ' Kegret was expressed at the retirement, owxng to ill health, of Mrs. E. J. Sims! who had presided for the last two years. Ihe election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—Chairmari,'"Mr E. Foster; vice-chairman, Mr. Campbell-" lion, secretary, Mrs. G. Roberts-^hon treasurer, Mrs. W. McKinstry; committee, Mesdames McCrea, McGregor, Muriro, Lindsay, Lawrence, and Gorton," Messrs. O'Neil and Wilson. , ■
As there was no annual householders' meeting called by the school committee this year.JVlr. E.-Turksma,-on-behalf; of the committee, took the opportunity bi submitting, a report of their activities for the, v £ s? year- He. a!s° thanked the-Home and School Association for the assistance the committee had received at all times.' A motion was passed drawing the -school committee's attention to the overcrowding of certain classes. It was regarded: as serious and the committee was requested to take this matter up with the.Education Board. ■ '
