THORNDON METHODISTS

MINISTER. INDUCTED

The Rev. James Richards, recently appointed senior minister of the Thorndon Methodist circuit, was inducted to his new charge by the president of Conference (the Rev. X. H. Haslam), assisted by the Rev.. C. Blair, of Karori. Following the induction ceremony,, a- welcome social was held in the Thorndon Methodist schoolroom. The circuit steward (Mr. T. H. Crosbie) presided, and ■ extended a. welcome to Mr. and Mrs. Richards.. He was supported by Mr. Haslam, Mr. Blair,.Mr C. H. Ham (Karori), Mr. N. S. Slyfield (Northland), and Miss F. Sinclair (Kaiwarra). Mr. and Mrs.- Richards suitably replied. Items were given by Mrs. Brooks, Miss Pillar, Mr. C. W Edwards, and the: members of the Bible classes. ■ .
