DISPLAY AT MOERA

A flower show and home industries ethibition is at present being held in th« Moera Hall under tlite auspices' of th« Lower Hutt Free Kindergarten Associ*tion. The show was opened last evening byMr. W. Nash, M.P. Other speakers were the Mayor of Lower Hutt (Mr. J. W. Andrews), Mr.- H. Baldwin (chairman of the association), and Mrs. H. Atkira, principal o£ the kinderfiarten. Music was supplied during tlie evening by Fraser's Orchestra. The champion bloom in the open section was a "Mrs. H. Wells," grown, by Mr. A. W. Freeman. The.champion bloom in the Moera section was a '"Hammond Phillips," arown by Mr. W. Jones. The most points in the show were gained by Mrs. S. Pointer. Some excellent' chrysanthemum* vere shown, particularly those from Moera. The cooking and sewing r.nd homecraft sections, however, were poorly patronised. The judges were as follows:—Chrysanthemums, Mr. T. W.Att'wood; "cut flowers and decorative section, Mr. E. Hutt; vegetables, Mr. F. Westbury; prescrvei, sweets, and cooking, Mrs. H. W. Naih; sewing, Miss Alcorn. The show will conclude this evening. The prize list is as follows:— Open Section (Chrysanthemums).—Mr. W. M. Lyall, 1 first, 1 second; Mr. A. W. Freeman, 1 first,' 2 seconds; Mr. J. Burgess, 1 first. ' Moera Section (Chrysanthemums).—Mr. W. Jones, 1 first, 2 seconds; Mr. H. Ralph. 1 first, 1 second; Mr. F. Moore, 1 first. Cut Flowers and Decorative Section.— Mr. H. Ralph. 1 first; Mrs. S. Pointer, 5 firsts, 1 second; Mrs. W. Jones, 1 first; Miss Burgess, 1 second; D. Pegler, 2 seconds; most points, Mrs. Pointer." ■ Vegetables.—Mr. Candy, 1 first; Mr. H. Ralph, 4 firsts 2 seconds; Mro. E.Feener, 1 first; Mr. B.- T. Pegler, 1 fir»t; Mr. F.
