B.M.S. PIANO GROUP
The Piano Group of the British Music Society held the first of its monthly meetings for the 1935 season last night in the studio of Miss Lorna Black, when a large number of members and friends were present. The musical programme took the form of a gramophone recital given by Mr. Karl Atkinson, leader of the group, and a number of Ghopin recordings were greatly enjoyed. Mr. Atkinson also read an interesting article written by Wanda Landowska, an eminent harpsicordist, dealing with the characteristics and the interpretation of this composer's works. Mr. W. Page, president, spoke of the aims and ideals of the society and-the music-making groups. Among those present were:—Mesdames Black, Porter, Townley, Gair, and Myers, Misses C. Moncrieff, M. Atkinson, L. Black, J. Porter, E. Roach, M. Withers, G. Gaudin, N. Murphy, E. Watts, G. Johnstone, M. McWhinney, M. Keall, D. Pirn, J. Page, P. Inns, J. Doyle, S. Macindoe, J. and N. Myers, I. Burge; L. Chalker, and Messrs. D. Ferguson, K. Picton, and J. Murray.
