THE KING'S JUBILEE
PRESBYTERIAN PROTEST

AUCKLAND, This Day,
Arising out of the Auckland Presbytery protest against a national service having been advertised to be held in St. Matthew's Anglican Church in connection with the King's Jubilee without the other denomiaations being consulted, a deputation waited on the Mayor of Auckland, Mr. Hutchison, today, suggesting a .service to embrace all denominations.
The Mayor suggested that representatives of the Presbytery wait on Archbishop Averill with a view to an arrangement.
Archbishop Averill has consented to receive a deputation tomorrow.
