PLUMBERS INDUSTRIAL WARD
A claim that the Wellington Plumbers •.Industrial Aivrard was cancelled through the administration of * 'Government^officials without having been heard by the Conciliation Council, was made by a deputation■from the Wellington Trades and Labour Council which waited on the Minister of Labour, Eon.AiEainilton, yesterday, and asked that immediate 3teps,should be taken, to restore the award. ""■; Mr •' Hamilton promised he would look into the. matter. There was no reason*, he said, why the con*, dilation commissioner should show favour to one side - at the expense of the other, but there was no evidence , that that had been done. He promised to inquire' into the position immediately. *
