c- MAN MISTAKEN FOR DEER

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) HOKITIKA,.This Day. At an inquest yesterday the Coroner returned a verdict that William James Webb, aged 23, single, was accidentally killed in the bush at Lake Kanieri on Saturday evening by John Frederick Andrews, who fired a rifle at what he thought was a deer, but struck Webb, killing him instantly. The men had gone out in different directions, and it is not known how the deceased came to the locality where the fatality occurred.
