BATHING IN UNDERTOW
CORONER STRESSES DANGER (Special to the "Evening Post.") " . OTAKI, This Day. ' At-the inquest on the late Mr. James Fraser, drowned at Otaki on Friday, the Coroner,. Mr. G.,H. Harper, in returning a verdict of accidental drowning, spoke of the danger of bathing in an undertow and thought the public's attention shouldbe drawn to the matter. He regretted that the Surf Club was defunct and expressed the hope that it would be reformed. Mr. Harper commended Mrs. Edmunds and- Mr. Morrison for their promptness in going to the assistance of Mr. and Mrs. Fraser, and also spoke highly of the attentibn given by the doctors and police. Particulars regarding the summer camp of the 'Wellington Regiment, which is to take place at Waipukurau, supplied last week and published on Saturday, stated that the regiment would entrain on Saturday instead of Saturday, February 16.
