Sir Alexander'and Lady Godley will arrive ' at,. Government House today to be the guests of their Excellencies the Governor-General and Lady Bledisloe.

Lady Day arrived in Wellington today by the Auckland Limited.

The Misses Chapman, who have been making a world tour, and have been staying with Sir Frederic and. Lady Chapman whilo in Wellington; left .today by the Mbnowai for the Sounds trip, and'iwill return to Australia on Friday by the same. steamship.

Mrs. J. L. Findlay, Wigram Aerodrome,' Christchurchj arrived this morning to visit Lady. Findlay, Midland Hotel.

.Mrs. Frank Scott, Christchurch, who is visiting Havelock North, will be the guest ,of Mrs. Fosbery Handyside, Lower Hutt, before she returns home.

Miss Sybil Parker, Lower Hutt, loft for Auckland, on Sunday, and will leave today by the Aorangi to. take up her new position at the Suva Girls' Grammar, School.

Mr. and Mrs. Lance' Moore, Lower Hutt, left Wellington today, en route for England.

Dr. and Mrs; Glesen and Miss Giesen, Wellington, are visiting Timaru.

Dr..and Mrs. Morice leave for Eng^ land by the Akaroa tomorrow.

Miss Buchanan, principal of the Hataitai Kindergarten, who has been for a,trip to Auckland, Raglan, and Hamilton, is now.' at Feilding, and returns to Wellington next Monday after-: noon.

Mrs. E. H. de J. Clere and Miss Joyce Clere, who have been the guests of Mrs., Dermer, Feilding; have returned to Wadestown. :

Miss "Sheila Kissel, who has been spending a holiday at Waikuku Beach, North Canterbury, has returned to Karori.

Miss Marie McDonald, Stratford, has returned from a short holiday in Wellington. • . ,

Miss^ Betty -Andrews, Christchurch, who has been the guest of Miss Peggy Hyams, Park Street, returns home by the steamer express ,this evening.

Miss "Dorothy Katz, The Terrace, leaves for 'Auckland- on Thursday evening, and from.there sails on.the Monterey for San Francisco and New Year where she ;will visit friends.

Miss Winnie Male, Oriental Parade, has returned from a, holiday spent in Australia.

Miss T. Thompson, Wellington,, is ■visiting her aunt, Miss A^ Kirkwbod; Stratford.

Miss Rita Luxford, Seatoun,. is. the guest of Mrs. Barltrop,:: Fendalton, Christchurch. '

Miss Dorothy Gibbs, of Wellington, left here yesterday afternoon on a business trip to Picton' and Blenheim.'

Miss Del St John,;, Nelson, who has been spending. a holiday- in Melbourne, returned yesterday by the Monowai.

Mrs. Johnston,-Christchurch, is staying .wit.b/.J\{iss.-Hall r -W.3destown. Mrs. Stanley Helptonj. formerly of Wellington,' who has Organised the Kia Ora New Zealand Club in Sydney, is now in Wellington, and is anxious to form a branch of this club in Wellington. A meeting will be held shortly .to make arrangements, when it is hoped that all -interested will attend. The Sydney" club" supports' a hospital bed, and also - has a pleasant social side, a luncheon being-held each week, and a dance and musicale every •fortnight. The Kia Ora Club is for both men and women.
