YACHTING
RACES AT PLIMIVIERTON
: Two handicap races were heldt at Plimmerton last. Saturday in-fine weather with a strong westerly wind and choppy sea. The first race was the Dallaston Cup for X and I class yachts, and the, second the vickery Cup for Zjclass.
' Only three started in the first race* and the Clyde soon established a lead which was easily maintained -through the race. On corrected times the boats were placed as follows:—Kamona {7min 15sec), 4h 40m 40s, 1; Clyde (s'cr); 4h 41m 40s, 2; Juneta (Bmin 50seb)i..4h'158m-255,-3. ■;■-.■' . Five Z class started in the second race in which the Watti soon maintained a lead. The Vanitie. sailing second, was overtaken by the Swallow in the second time round, and-there was no alteration in the places of the boats for the remainder of the rrfce. The crew in the Corsair sailed a Rood race and showed a vast improvement on their earlier performances.
