DUNEDIN,, This Day.. Commenting ~on the mortgage finance proposals,, the "Otago Daily Times" says: "There are obvious reasons why it would be to the advantage of the country if aIT farmers who are competent fanners and have a-due sense of responsibility were planted firmly on their feet again, but it is important that the measures adopted to this end should be sound in principle and equitably in character, and the statement which we publish this morning (that issued by the Associated Chambers of Commerce) makes out a strong case lor the argument that the Government's proposals fail in both these respects." -.■"./.
