Cable news has been received of the death in London of Mr. Jacob Isaacs, in his day one of Dunedin's prominent business men; in his 95th year. He arrived in Dunedin from Melbourne in the early seventies, and later he becameia partner of the late Mr. Bendix Hallenstein, of Dunedin, when the New Zealand Clothing Factory was established, and remained an active partner until 1890, when he retired and four years later took up residence in London. Mr. Phillip Isaacs of Auckland, is a nephew of the late Mr. Isaacs, and Mr. M. M. Heineman, of Wellington, is a great-nephew.
