SERVICE OF REMEMBRANCE

. .- NELSON, This Day. A largely-attended service of remembrance was held in Nelson Cathedral yesterday morning in connection, with the death of Bishop SadUer; The preacher was the Bishop of Nelson; who paid a tribute to his predecessor's 22 years of service in the Nelson diocese and in New Zealand. Dr. Sadlier was a loving father in God to all and a friend of all denominations. In addition to deep spirituality, he had remarkable business and legal knowledge. His work in ~ the diocese was monumental. There was sympathy for the bereaved family,. but no tears of sorrow but songs of thankfulness for the life, that had been given to them, and they honoured him with, affectionate remembrance. .;..-..-■
