Mrs. Eadford, Hokitika, was in Wellington;- en route for Auckland, and will leave by the Aorangi for a visit to America. Mrs. G. B. Morgan, Opawa, arrived in Wellington yesterday morning for a short holiday. The Hon. Mrs. Vane, the well-known artist, has arrived in Wellington, and is staying at the Midland Hotel. Mrs. Vane is leaving shortly for the South Island to make sketches for some of her beautiful pictures. Mrs. K. H. Wilson, Auckland, arrived in Wellington yesterday to meet her husband, who returned by the Monowai -today. They will make a short trip to the South Island before returning to Auckland. Mrs.' Andrew Todd,'Dunedin, is the guest of Miss McLean, Tinakori Road. Mrs. A. C. Dacre, Auckland, has left for Wellington, accompanied by her sister, Mrs. J. F. Buckrell. Mrs. Maxwell-Hyslop, Mrs. H. J. Wynne, Miss Wynne,' and Miss Ruth Putnam, Wellington, are staying at the Hotel Cargen, Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Carter, Wellington, are visiting Ghristchurch. Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Williams and Miss Janet Williams" (Gisborne), Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Russell, Miss Patricia Palmer, Miss Patricia Williams, Miss Meg Williams, Miss E. Williams, Mr. Dennis Ormsley, Mr. J. Wilson, .Mr. John Goring-Johnston. and Mr. John Ormond (all of Hawke's Bay) will be visitors to Timaru this week for • the Russell-Rolleston wedding. The Misses Nola and Joan Murphy, Wellington, who have been the guests of Mrs. W. Wells, Christchu'rch, returned to Wellington yesterday morning. Miss Peggy Unwin, Timaru, will leave early this month on a visit to England. Mr. and Mrs. F. Gratrian, Palmerston North, who have been the guests of Mrs. Shand, have returned home. Miss Joyce Nathan, Hobson Street, is spending a holiday at Gisborne. < Miss Dorothy Souter, Wadestown, has' returned home from a holiday spent in Hawera and Hastings. Mrs. P. F. J. Sellers and her son, Peter, of "Lyall Bay, returned home this morning after spending a month's holiday in Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. T. Steel, Khandallah, return home this evening from a holiday spent at Pukerua Bay. Mrs. A. F. Meldrum, who has been the guest of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Sievwright, The .Terrace, has returned to her home In Hamilton. Mr. and Mrs. P. E. J. Ebsworth, Karori, have returned from a holiday spent at Karehana Bay, Plimmerton. Mr. and Mrs. A. Scherp, of Fatea, are spending a holiday with friends at Rongotai.
