OTAGO CLOUDBURST

. DUNEDIN, February 3. As the.result of a cloUdburst'in the gorge, between Clyde' and Cromwell this afternoon both rail andrqad com-munication.-with upper Central Otago is blocked. The full extent of the damage is not known- in Dunedin tonight, but it is understood that five slips of a total length of one mile occurred on the railway line. A work train left tonight for the gorge.
