SCOTT-RAMSAY CHALLENGE CUP

The final series of matches for the ScottJtamsay Challenge Cup was played last Saturday, February 2, in fine weather. The .results were,-as, follow:— Tawa Flat beat ■ Johnsonville Methodist by 8 games to 4, Porirua beat Woodlands by 9 games to 3, Kia Ora beat Newlands by 7 games to 5, Glenside a bye.

The final betvreeu Tawa Flat and Johnsonville Methodist', was pldyed at the Tawa Tennis , Club's courts under s\v eltering conditions, but was productive of the best tennis of the series. Although most of the games were closely contested the winners, of the cup definitely established their superiority on the day. The final positions of tho competing teams are us.under:—Tawa Flat 14 points, •Tohnsonville' Methodist- 12, Porhua 10, Kia OraiS, Nesvlands 6, Woodlands i, Glcnside 2. '
