BOY LOSES AN EYE
ACCIDENT WITH CHRISTMAS GIFT
(Special to the "Evening Post")! PALMEBSTON N., This Day. The'seven-year-old son of Mr, and Mrs. Ashcroft, of 16 Queen Street, Palmerston North, met. with an unfortunate accident last week as a result of which he will lose an' cyo. Tho lad had attended a Christmas tree party at which he was presented with a toy gun with a tin barrel. Alighting from a car which had taken him home, he commonced to run across the roa.d to tho house, but tripped and fell, the barrel of the gun penetrating the eye. Efforts to save the sight havo proved unavailing.
