RIFLE SHOOTING

KARORI CLUB

The Karori Rifle .-Club fired the first match of its championship series at-Trent-hum on Saturday. The match comprised a double shoot at 300 yards. That some members have held their best equipment in icseivo for this series was evident from1 tho scores recorded. An outstanding fea-1 turo was J. I. King's score of 95. The present club' champion • scored £ good 451 in the first shoot and put all his shots into the bull in his second shoot. Another score that was full of' merit was, P. B. ■ Goldfinch's 92. He scored the possible in the first ten shots, and followed it up with a useful ,42. Seven members, including three from the; handicap class, scored 90 or better off the rifle..
