FUNDS FOR REBUILDING

(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day,

At this morning's ' sitting of the Pfesbyterian General Assembly the reports of the church, property trustees and the fire insurance fund were rccoived. In reference to.lona College it was resolved that the assembly should pay the architects' fees, amounting to £2&6, for the reconstruction of the college damaged by the Hawke's Bay earthquake, this grant being , a loan without interest for twelve months. A deputation from the New Zcalaiid Alliance was Assured of the assembly's support in ~the struggle to overcome the evils of the liquor traffic.

Similar support for the principles and activities of the League of Nations Union was assured to a deputation from that body.
