Sir,—The present spell of hot weather and the fact that the Police Force have now donned their summer head-gear reminds one that for the^last two years city traffic inspectors have requested that they be supplied with more suitable clothing—especially head covering —for the summer. Even with suitable clothing their duties, especially when on point control, must be arduous, but they must be vastly more so in the hot weather with their present obviously unsuitable clothing. The peaked caps must be no protection at all.—l am, etc.,
