CHRISTCHURCH, November 9.

"I suppose I, can call this a-vale-' dictory speech," said the- GovernorGeneral, Lord Bledisloe, referring to hi« impending departure from the Dominion, during- his speech at the luncheon at the Metropolitan Show. "I must say with somo sadness that my wife and I are shortly about to flit to.our ancestral haunts in the Old Land, but, speaking without exaggeration, we shall leave behind us.no small part of our hearts and sympathies, and none will learn of your returning prosperity with more genuine joy."
