, tables,V^hich were laid in the writing-room,: Were attractively: ; decorated with large bowls of roses- and vases >6f early, summer flowers.Thedinner was very tastefully served, and was partaken of to the {accompaniment of much laughterand chatter. ' There were over 70 old girls, present, representing many years of the school's history. Some members of the staff were also present,- including the principal) Miss Wilson (president of the association),. Miss Vyrier, Miss Claehan, Miss Beckett, Miss Astbury, 'Misß Menard, and Miss Smith (matron). At the top table, 'with.l Miss Wilson, were seated those old girls who had once been head prefects fof; theßchool-^-of these,"all "except four were able, to ■be present. .The toast list included: '.'T.ljia King," proposed'by Miss Jean McLay^ "Th» School," : proposed by Miss ; Helen Fletcher, and.replied to by Miss Betty; Sladden; "Absent/Old Girls," t pro•posed by Miss Katharine Hoby, After the dinner, the guests retired to the lounge, where informal talk and the exchange of many reminiscences brought to a close a most; enjoyabls function.. . ...---.:. ■ ';•., :.
