A "telegram from '.'The Post's" representative at Auskland- states that the funeral, of the late Mr. H. A. Wright took place at Auckland yesterday. The deceased,' who was 70 years of age, was formerly a resident of Eastbourne, and was a well-known land and estate. agent in Wellington prior to 1919, when he went to Auckland to reside. He is survived by a son, Mr. Percy Wright, of the Lands and Survey Department. - ,
The Rev. Father T. Macarthy, S.M., - Wellington, Superior of the Marist Missiouers, left by the Marama yesterday for Melbourne, where he will participate in" the 'Eacharistie Congress."" After the Congress, Father Macarthy ■will visit Norfolk Island, where he wiilconduct, a mission before..returning to - the Dominion. This'year'Father Macarthy- completes his twenty-fifth, year.' of mission work in New Zealand and . Australia, and in a message of congratulation to him. from. Rome, the ' Superior-General of the Marist Fathers said that he desired Father Macarthy to take a much-needed holiday in Australia. -At the wish of the Provincial of the Marist Fathers in New Zealand ' (the Very Rev. Dr. 35. Kennedy, S.M.), Father Macarthy will represent the ■ Society of Mary at the Eueharistic Congress in Melbourne, and will deliver a special sermon 'at a function over which his Grace Aichbishop Mannix ' will preside.
