FACTORY FATALITY SEQUEL

(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, August 2S. Damages amounting to £1425 were awarded Mary Helen Broms by a special .jury in the Supreme Court today. The plaintiff's husband, Jacob William Bi-oms, who was employed by Davis Gelatine (New Zealand), Ltd., was killed in an accident at tr company's factory in Woolston, last December. The plaintiff sought from the company £2000 damages on behalf of herself and her three .children. The jury found that the defendant company had been guilty of negligence and that the plaintiff, had not been guilty of contributory negligence.
