WASHINGTO.V, August 2(3.

Secret instructions for a. general walkout in the United States cotton textile industry on. September 4 have been sent out to sectional chieftains by the. National Strike Commitlee of. the United Textile Workers.

The order, which will bo announced officially this week, will affect nearly 500,000 cotton mill workers. An additional 300,000 may subsequently bo ordered from tho mills in the silk, rayon, and woollen industries.

In the meantimo the Federal Government is seeking to inaugurate concilia tiou.
