Silver King, 8.10 (Webb) 1 Custodian, 8.10 (Russell) 2 Duko Caledon, 8.10 (Knox) 3 Twenty started, Including Marcus Cicero and Gladswood. Two lengths; length. Marcus Cicero finished well back. Time, lmln 28sec. WARWICK STAKES, £ BOO; w.f.a. with allowances; 1 mile. Chatham, 9.3 (Pike) 1 Nightly, 5.9 (R.1 Reed) 2 Liniarch, D.O (Bartle) 3 Tea started, including Silver Scorn and Closing Time. Closing Time made the early running, Rogilla bolng badly left at the post. Chatham took the lead ontorlng tho straight. Nightly, coming fast, threw out a challenge, and Rogilla was also now well forward, but Chatham lasted long enough to win by a length, Limarch just defeating Closing Time for third, threo longths behind Nightly, with Rogilla a close fourth. Time, lmln 41!4sec. Silver Scorn was ninth. CAMPBELLTOWN HANDICAP, £400; 0 furlongs. Roman Spear, 7.5 (Zousky) .... 1 Golden Wings, 0.0 (Pike) 2 Canegrass, 7.7 (Carter) 3 Fourteen started. Including Silver Ring, Dla.tomous, Tho Masquerader, Frlmsel, and Cap*ris. Length; head. Frimsel was fourth, then Silver Ring, Capris, Satmoth, and The Masquerader. Time, lmln 15M,aec. WARWICK FARM SPRING HANDICAP, £500; 1 mile and 3 furlongs. Topical, 8.9 (McCarten) 1 Journal, 7.8 (Knox) 2 Elmaros, 0.10 (Flndlay) 3J Nine started. Including Forestry, Red Kufus, and Caliente. Throe-Quarters of a length; neck. Red Rufus was fifth and Caliente seventh. Time, "min 25scc.
In tho Glenlee Handicap, £200, 1 mile, Tavern Knight, Salt Spray, King March, and Martian Chief ran unplaced.
Tho stewards inquired Into why Rogilla was left at tho post, and accepted tho explanation of D. Munro that Rogilla swung round tho moment tho barrier rose.
Tavorn Knight stumbled during the running of the Glonleo Handicap, and broke down so badly that he had to recoive nttontion on the course. It is doubtful whether he will race again.
