MISSES CASTLE WELCOMED

A pleasant afternoon party was held recently by members of the Lyceum Club, to welcome Misses Mavis and Zillah Castle, who have recently returned from several years of study abroad.

Mrs. J. C. Andersen, Mrs. Kerr, and Mrs. Sample, the vice-presidents, received the guests, the president being unable to attend. They were each presented with a charming little posy of berries. '.•'■■• :

Mrs. Andersen made a shott speech, welcoming the Misses Castle, who both gave brief and interesting outlines of their work abroad. | An enjoyable ' programme of pianoforte duets and solos was given by the pupils of Mrs. Mackay. During the delicious afternoon tea that followed the members had opportunity for interesting discussion, with the guests of honour. " ' ■ '
