"SUNNY N.S.W."
BUT NOT ALWAYS SO
"We in New Zealand hear a lot about 'sunny New South Wales'," said a Wellington man who returned today by the Monowai. "Well, during my stay o£ 18 days in Sydney the sun did not have his hat on many days, and I could not pay tribute to his.; radiance. Fine sunny days were very much.in tho minority. In. Sydney there was quite a lot of rain, and also strong winds, and tho papers told of heavy flooding in the inland, districts. Tho ; climate of New Zealand was the subject of much goodnatured banter on the part of friends, but as the result of the bad patch of weather experienced during my stay with them they confessed in tho end that I had the laugh on them." Wellington's sunny smile tins morning was a delight to tho Monowai's passengers. When they left Sydney tlie weather was dull and overcast, and nn (he trip across the 'J'asnian tliey sair very little bright sunshine.
