A DAY'S DELAY

Recently a couple was married at Oxford, after having to go home from, the church the previous day without the ceremony being performed. They were Mr. James Cullum and Miss Elsie D. Shepherd, and they made arrangements with the vicar of St. Fridcswides Church five weeks previously. They waited at the church until three p.m., the latest legal time for weddings, but the vicar had not arrived. It was found that about three weeks previously the vicar left and the new vicar was unaware that any wedding was to have been performed.
