VALUE OF JAMBOREES
CHIEF SCOUT'S MESSAGE
LONDON, February 19. Lord-Baden Powell, Chief Scout, in a message 'to Australian Scouts, says: "The periodical jamborees have achieved surprisingly satisfactory. Tesults by the promotion of mutual tinderstanding. It is easier and cheaper for the Scouts'of South and Central America; Mexico, California, and British Columbia to reach. Australia than Europe, and also those from China, Japan, Malaya, Siam, the East Indies, Ceylon, Kenya, Mauritius, and South Africa. . . . .. . "I hope that the contingents from all these places will make personal touch with the Scouts of Australia and New Zealand at the jamboree in Melbourne next January."
