YOUNG LORD'S JOURNEY
Lord Burgh, the twenty-seven-year possessor of, a barony which was estabHshea in 1529, reached Adelaide by servico car from Port Pirie. He had sailed from London to Port Lincoln in the sailing ship Mozart, and was to leave for London next day in the liner Ormonde. Lord Burgh's arrival in South Australia was unheralded. Ho was dressed in "slacks," a sports coat, and a grey flannel shirt. Ho carried his belongings in two cliaffbags, which ho slung over his shoulder as he walked through the streets to a hotel in the city with his younger brother, the Hon. John Lcith. Lord Burgh" conducts a motor-engineer-ing business and a retail wine-selling business in London. The Hon. John -Leith did not travel in the Mozart with Lord Burgh, who is aged twenty-seven yorrs, and is tall and athletic. He was a lieutenant in the Black Watch, and he was educated for the Army at Wellington College and Sandhurst. He is keenly interested in sailing, and when a friend in London spoke of the delights of travelling in sailing ships ho made inquiries" and, learning that the Mozart was sailing for South Australia, he booked a passage in ner.» He said that he enjoyed the voyago, but to-wards the end found-it somewhat tedious. Lord Burgh spent a-week in Port Lincoln shooting kangaroos and fishing, and he then went to Adelaide. He had intended to spend'two or three months in Australia, but he received a cable message from London which obliged him to book a passage in the Ormonde. However, he has been so impressed'with what-he has seen that he intends to -visit Australia again.
