TIN HAT CLUB
A successful' jjonQert organised by members of-the. Tin Hat Club was given in the Methodist phureh School Boom, Hataitai, on Wednesday maid of unemployed, returned soldiers.. The hall was completely filled. The- following artists appeared:—Messrs. J. Phillips, Cunliffe, Perry, Heath, O'Connell, North, Broughton, Caldwell, /. and. Philpott. The guest aceiimpanist: lyas. Mi. .Roach. The .chairman;;(Mr:-J;,Hi- lyicKay)',outV. lined the work; of the* auxiliary, since its formation-last August. By its efforts twenty-two, men had been given 273 ilnys' work, th&.total wages received being £160 3s 6d. ' It, was a pleasing feature of the work of the committee to know that nothing but excellent reports had been, received in respect of each man engaged. The understanding and sympathy^ with returned men among; the - Tesi'dcnts. was very encouraging^; Eef erence Tvas also made to Mrs.:McEae and lacly helpers for tho excellent results obtained in the district.on Rosa Day. , ,
