The .total number on the roll was SB6. The hope .was expressed that by the end of the financial- year on .March 31 the membership Would reach 1000. It was pointed out that tho number.of active members , was only, a., small, proportion of the tStarfiuiiber of returned soldiers in Wellington,-and that those -svho supported the association.evidently realised tho value of co-operating for their mutual "benefit. '; The association's choir of nearly fifty voices was said to be making excellent progress, and it was stated that it would give its' next concert.on the evening of' Arizae Day. The following donations were acknowledged with thanks:—Books, Mr. Atkinson; cakes and pies, Bowland Cake Kitchen; £1 for children's health camp fund,—Mrs. Vanderpunip;, papers and magazines, Mrs. Fernandez; box of jam, Mw. Hassell, Porirua; magazines, Mr. C. B. Ferguson;, magazines, Mr. Backer; newspapers, the "Dominion," the "Evening Post," f.'New Zealand Truth," and- '■'New. Zealand Herald."
