CIIIUSTCIIURCH, March 1, Tho redistribution of hotel licences in view of possible increased tourist traffic was the subject of a report of the joint tourist and publicity, committee to the Chamber of Commerce tonight. The committee recommended, and the chamber agreed, that the Government be asked to set up a special committee or call a conference "to examine all matters- and amenities for tourists, particularly hotel accommodation and a. proper distribution or1 licences. It is suggested that the committee should §it under the chairmanship of the Minister in Charge of Tourist Resorts, and that it should consist of representatives of the New Zealand Alliance, Licensed Victuallers' Association, JTealth Department, and shipping, railway, and transport interests. .
