OBITUARY
MRS. ANNIE DRAPER
. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) , - BLENHEIM,. March 1. The death is reported of Mrs. Annie Draper, in her 82nd year. She was one of the most widely-known of Marlborough's olcl identities, and had resided in Blenheim for over sixty years. She was born in Birmingham. (England) and came to New Zealand in the ship Wild Duck in 1868. She married the late Mi\ Daniel Draper at Johnsonville, in 1871. Later, the pair were in thehotel business at Blenheim as proprietors of the Koyal and Club Hotels. Mrs. Draper always took a keen interest in public affairs, and was very publicspirited and charitable. The surviving monibovs of her large family are Messrs. W. D. Draper (Springlands), J. E. Draper (Palmei-s----ton North), K.S.- Diaper (Addingtoii), A. S. Draper (Blenheim), and Mestlanies T. "Watson (Christehurch), C. Denby (Springlauds), li. M. Knott (KoMinari rahia, Auckland), J. J. Wensley (Blenheim), 11. E. Avery (Wellington), and Miss Elsie Draper (Springlands).
