SPECULATION IN BRITAIN
WHAT WILL SURPLUS BE
LONDON, February 28. With revenue returns for the week ended last Saturday showing a surplus of £3,380,784, compared with a deficit for the corresponding date in 1933 of £69,305,446, newspapers are a^ain speculating on the prospects of Budget relief. ' . ■ The Chancellor/ Mr. Neville Chamberlain, recently described, some estimates of the surplus as fantastic, but the "Morning Post" estimates the surplus at approximately £40,000,000.
