GISBORNE'S ACTION

Taking advantage of the recnt amendment of the Valuation of Land Act, the Gisborne Borough Council has decided to Teduce values as appearing in. the valuation roll at. the date of the last general revaluation in 1930 by 25 per cent, except in cases where' a reduction lias already been granted on an individual application. This decision has been taken to remedy inequalities" in values caused by the numerous reductions xecentlv inado.
