GARDEN FETE
TO BEAUTIFY GROUNDS
- Particularly lovely grounds sur;round the Eastern Hutt.School,-and as this is the "show" school of the Wellington education district, the upkeep I and improvement of its grounds is a I matter dear to the heart of all Hutt, residents. ' _ To raise funds for this purpose a garden party will be held in the school grounds on Saturday next, and ■will be opened by the Mayor, Mr. J. W. Andrews. Strong committees have been set up to provide stalls, sideshows, etc. y The- many attractions ■will.include a Maypole darice,a children's fancy dress parade, and a decorated bicycle' parade, and the Lower Hutt Band will be in attebdanc'o. In the event of wet weather, a sale ,of goods will be held in the school-1 rooms, but should the good weather continue, tho school grounds themselves j will be well worth a visit.
