TAXI-CAB MURDER

RESUMPTION OF INQUEST ■' ■" '~~ >-' " The work of completing the investigation into the murder of the taxidriver, James Hunter Blair, in Auckland, in the early hours of Sunday,' October 15, is progressing, and there is a possibility that the inquest will be resumed within the next fortnight, reports "The. New Zealand -Herald." The police inquiry has been of the most exhaustive nature, but the most intensive search of the locality, commenced as soon as the crime was reported, failed to produce a : likely weapon. Neither has any motive been clearly established, for Mr. Blair's takings during his taxi journeys were not touched. A further obstacle encountered by the investigators was that there was no witness of the crime. The inquest was opened on thg morning after the tragedy, before Mr. F.K Hunt, S.M., Coroner.
