A political scandal, which is expected to have repercussions similar to those of the Stavisky affair in Prance, has caused a sensation in Yugoslavia. Tho Skupshtina, after an angry debate, Was withdrawn immunity from the Bosnian Deputy Husein . Kaditch, to enable his trial on charges of fraudulently securing bonds ' worth £.84,000. It is alleged that he carried out one of the most audacious swindles ever known inside any Parliament, by securing the passage of a bogus Biir enabling him and ais associates to sell large estates for sometimes seventyfive times their value. This was when, under the policy of agrarian reform, nobles' estates were seized and portioned out among peasants.' A hundred Deputies supported a move for the restoration of the death penalty in cases of defrauding'the State of amounts exceeding £200.
