"No institution that does not direct the adolescent's attention to the welfare ;of his fellows is fulfilling its duty," remarked Mr. E. G. Sidling, principal of the Wellington] Technical College at the annual breaking-up ceremony yesterday. "We still aim at giving the greatest possible service to our fellows. The. students help one another and have this year again done' what they, could to help, those in need by subscribing to the Mayor's Distress Fund, the Free Ambulance Association, •' and the .S.P.C.AI" ' Mr. Eidling acknowledged the great assistance received from the old students, who had provided large sums for ths purchase of text-books and sometimes clothes for some of the students.
