WELLINGTON NOTES
The half-yearly meeting of the Wellington Rowing Club was held on Monday, Mr. J. E. Scaiilon presiding over an attendance of aomo 30 members. The report oil'the club's activities to date was presented by tho secretary. Congratulations were extended to the Petone Rowing Club on their success in winning both the Norton Cup and Eedding Shield. The influx of now members, the report statod, had remained constant and the membership Bhowed all increase over last year. The race committee had a full programme during the season, and races were well up to date, the Wareham fours, Bert Shaw Memorial fours, and the novice pair races having already been rowed. .The social side of the club's activities had been capably attended to by the social committee. The club's dances had proved completely succtssful and on opening and regatta days members and their friends have been woll catered for. The plant was now most efficient, and ample boats were available for the use of all members. The now rating boat left little to be desired, and would have its first trial in open regattas at Picton on New Year's Day.
