REICHSTAG TRIAL
GOEEIWS OUTBURST
"CRIME UNEXPIATED"
(Received December 14, 1 p.m.) LONDON, December 13. The "Manchester Guardian's" Ber- j lin correspondent says that Colonel Goering, in an interview in. a Berlin paper, was responsible for a characteristic outburst intended to influence the Eeichstag trial. He declared that the trial had disappointed the entire German people, "I hope it will soon end. My election shows that the Eeichstag is behind me. ' "I am used to my appearance as a witness. I register a protest in the name of the German people against the Court's methods. The Eeichstag fire was a political attack with the object of effecting a Bolshevik, revolution, for which tho accused were responsible. It is deplorable that the crime is still unexpiated and the long-winded trial continues."
