(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, This "Day. ' A special Court of Inquiry was held yesterday before Mr, H. A. Young, S.M., to take evidence concerning charges made against a junior officer of the Public Trust Office that during the Lyttelton by-election, campaign he was guilty Of conduct that constituted a breach of regulation 32 of the Public Service Regulations by disturbing political meetings, and in particular a meeting addressed by the Et. Hon. J. G. Coates at Lyttelton on September 12. Counsel appeared for the Public Service Commissioner and the officer concerned. ; ; . The inquiry was held in camera, and after a number of-witnesses Had given evidence the Magistrate intimated that he would forward his report to the Public Service Commissioner.
