HUTT VALLEY GAS BOARD

A meeting of the Petone and Lower Hutt Gaa Lighting Board was held last evening. The chairman' (Mr. W. G. Lodder) presided, and othersr present were Messrs. S. CJendon, VV. G. Meldrum, D. W. Campbell, A. Scholefield, C. P. Brockelbank, and E. T. E. Hogg. In iis report for November, the works manager (Mr. d: Slijiw) stated that the gas .manufactured'was'9,479;ooo cubic feet, which "was. an ; increase, of, -124,000 cubic feet 1 over November,'l932, and a decrease 'of '59,5 X) cubic feet as. compared with October of thie year. The average calorific value was 464 British thermal units, and the'average make per ton 16,314 cubic feet. ■ The:secretary. (Mr. G. Silbery) reported that during1 November twenty new services were installed (fifteen' in Lower Hutt, five in Petone), and ten new cookers. ■ • ' . :' ' . .
