SCHOOL TENNIS
YESTERDAY'S FINALS
The semi-finals and finals of the. Wellington Primary Schools' Lawn Tennis Association's annual tournament were completed at the Palmer Street courts yesterday after. "The Post" went to press. O. Bold, Hutt Central, who last year won the boys' singles, was again successful this year, defeating JR. Blair, of Lyall Bay School, after a hard tussle. The junior boys' singles provided some excellent tennis, J. Wilson winning by advantage from C.-Yeoman,-31-20. • Generally speaking, the quality of play was very high, especially in the boys' sections. Some, of the senior girls, however, gave fine displays. Among these were K. McNeill, J. Forrester, and J. Hassell,' all of whom show promise of developing into line players. Other girls to impress were J. Dent and M. Thorne.
