At the Sydney wool sales today greasy merino made an Australian record of 37% d a lb for seven bales frotn Barraba, which is one of the best wool-growing districts of New South Wales. < Lambs' wool also made a record price of 2834(1., The market was extremely animated with the keenest demand for all best descriptions, prices showing an advance of 6 per cent., compared with the previous day. A total of 13,198 bales was offered, 12,645 being sold at auction, in addition to 695 bales sold privately.
