This highly-coveted post of the .most important foreign, banking institution in Turkey is usually held by a Frenchman. The Ottoman Bank is an Anglo-French concern, with its head office in London. Since the war Frenchmen had held the poet continuously. Mr. Reid'3 appointment has been well received in Turkish and Bi'itish financial circles.
