HUTT ROAD CYCLE TRACK
The Lower Hutt Borough Council last evening turned clown two alternative schemes submitted by the, City Council for the repairing of the Hutt Road cycle track. One scheme would have cost £1880 15s, and the other £1688 18s, of which the proportion payable by Lower Hutt would have been £186 4s and £158 4s respectively. The City Council stated that a sum of £558 was recoverable from the Public Works and the Railways Departments and the City Council in respect to damage done by them to the track, and the Lower Hutt Council suggested that this amount only should be spent on the track. _^_^__^_^__^_
